Dr. T.J. Jumper’s journey into education began early, influenced deeply by his family’s dedication to teaching and school administration. With a background steeped in learning environments, Dr. Jumper pursued his passion through the Golden Apple Scholar program and educational training at the University of Illinois. His career in education started as a teacher and coach, later expanding into school administration with a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois and leadership roles in Mason City, IA.
During his tenure, Dr. Jumper garnered recognition for his outstanding leadership, serving as Principal at both middle and high schools simultaneously, and later as a district administrator. His commitment to education deepened with further qualifications including a Superintendent certificate from Drake University and a Doctorate from Creighton University.
Relocating to the Des Moines metro area, Dr. Jumper’s role as Regional Director for the Heartland Area Education Agency (AEA) broadened his impact across Story and Boone counties. Here, he addressed critical needs in special education, college/career planning, and school leadership amidst legislative changes affecting educational funding and responsibilities.
Driven by his extensive experience and a vision for enhanced educational support, Dr. Jumper established the Education Consulting Agency (ECA) in the summer of 2024. ECA aims to empower students, parents, and educational institutions through personally tailored consulting services designed to meet the evolving challenges of modern education.
